A massive fire broke out around the Idimu axis of Ejigbo, Lagos state early Saturday morning after a tanker fully loaded with diesel exploded.
Casualty figure from the incident which started some minutes after 12am and still burning hours later are still sketchy.
The heavily loaded tanker reportedly ran into a building resulting in burning of several houses and properties.
The incident occurred around a crowded area. Many people are feared dead.
Officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Federal and State fire services have converged at the scene.
