How Romance With Gospel Singer, Sinach Crashed Pastor Chris OYAKHILOME's Marriage [pics]

The entire ‘social media village’ by now has been agog with the messy divorce news of famous Nigerian Pastor, Chris Oyakhilome and his estranged wife, Pastor Anita. However the untold story behind the divorce is what you may not have heard before. According to a member of Oyakhilome’s Christ Embassy Church at Ikotun Egbe Parish who spoke to us on the condition of anonymity, it was the cleric’s alleged unholy romance with Sinach, a female Gospel singer with the Church that crashed his marriage. “Pastor Chris’ wife had been unhappy with his rumoured affair with Sinach alongside other issues, while she was away running the affair of the Church abroad. In a bid to cover up his romance with sister Sinach, Pastor (As they call Oyakhilome) quickly signed her to the “Love World” record label and included her name among his traveling crew. That automatically gave her the opportunity of travelling far and wide with Pastor’s entourage. Among other sisters in the Church, the manner in which Sinach got favoured by Pastor was what fueled their romance rumour. As things would turn out, today Sinach is married while Pastor’s home is in trouble”, stated our source. Although Pastor Anita in her claims mentioned adultery amongst other things as the reason she’s filing the divorce suit, one would beg to want to believe that the until Sinach finally got married to her heartthrob, Pastor Joseph, who is a senior Pastor with Christ Embassy; she was often seen in the company Pastor Chris. She travels with him everywhere he goes. At a time, their closeness fueled a rumour indicating that the two may be having an affair. We’re still investigating the above claims but while that goes on, a few days ago, August 29, 2014 to be precise, an online newspaper reported the matrimonial crisis rocking the home of Charismatic Chris Oyakhilome, the founder of Believers’ Love World Inc, Christ Embassy Church. READ THE COMPLETE REPORT BELOW…
After months of intense cover up, the matrimonial crisis of charismatic Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, founder of Believers’ Love World Inc, (aka Christ Embassy Church) blew into the open yesterday with revelations that his estranged wife, Anita had served him formal papers for a divorce in a London court.
According to reports monitored yesterday on TheCable.ng, an online newspaper, the dissolution of the marriage between Chris and Anita, has entered the final phase with the wife seeking divorce on the grounds of “unreasonable behaviour” and “adultery”.

The report said she outlined several other unpublishable allegations against the pastor.
TheCable reports that the divorce case, with Suit No FD14D01650, was filed on April 9, 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn, London, United Kingdom, on Anita’s behalf by Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors, a full-service law firm with expertise in commercial law and a strong consumer focus in family, wills and estate, personal injury law and medical negligence.

“Sources said efforts to reconcile the popular couple, whose church is one of the biggest denominations in Nigeria and has branches all over the world, have failed. The pastor, according to an elder of the church, has denied allegations of adultery and believes his wife is being influenced by “bad friends” who are intent on destroying their home,” reports TheCable.

The online newspaper reports that while Anita believes she has been relegated in the scheme of things in the church, her husband reportedly accused her of trying to usurp power and authority above her seniors in the ministry.

TheCable reported further: “Sources told us that the pastor had been making efforts to avoid divorce in the hope that the wife would eventually have a change of mind. However, we can also report that the decree nissi was served on the charismatic pastor in his hotel room during a recent visit to the UK. Decree nissi, in legal terms, is like a yellow card in a football match which is a precursor to a red card (“decree absolute”) if no new evidence is provided to stall proceedings.
“Church insiders said Oyakhilome had been hoping for rapprochement, but he was left with no option than to receive the papers when the lawyers cornered him at his hotel in London. The decree absolute, which will effectively end the marriage, is expected to be issued soon while terms of the divorce will be worked out by the lawyers on both sides.”

A member of the church who spoke to THISDAY last night on condition of anonymity said the entire Christ Embassy Ministry was disappointed by the action of Anita. CLICK HERE TO READ FULL AND TOUCHING NIGERIAN CELEBRITIES BIOGRAPHY AND SCANDALS

  1. No one can speak for the entire congregation of Christ Embassy. On the contrary, many of us are disappointed that our Pastor Chris allowed the situation in his marriage to get to this point. Why would he insist that his wife & family live in another continent away from him. We want our Pastor & his wife under the same roof. we understand the demands of ministry but his marriage is part & parcel of the ministry. His Wife is tired of living as a single lady. I do not believe there is any such affair between Pastor & Sinach. Sinach is a dedicated servant of God. Leave Sinach out of this. She is a married woman. But if it is true that there are single sisters (Pastors) living in the Pastors house while the Pastors wife is not allowed to live with him- does that not tell you he is not interested in his wife ? The bible says we should avoid all appearances of evil and that a husband & wife should not defraud themselves of one another so that satan does not get in & destroy the home. Many of us in Christ Embassy have watched Rev. Anita being relegated below these female Pastors year after year. You never see her on set with her husband- yet she pioneered the church planting in the UK & has raised many leaders. Even the pictures that were removed from the website were more than 10 years old- because there are no recent pictures of them together, so the old pictures have to be used on Rhapsody. What concerns me is that many don’t seem to care about Rev. Chris marriage. All they care about is the image of the church- just because Rev. Anita filed the papers. The papers are just formality confirming what has been going on all these years- that sadly, or Pastor has no time & no regard for his own family. The ministry is vibrant, strong & growing. I do not think it will destroy the church if our Pastor & wife live together as normal couples do, and if he sometimes takes out time from work to spend quality time with his wife & family. I don’t think God will remove his anointing for spending time with his own wife.

    2. great comments you twoo.People don't know what women endure in the hands of adulterous husbands.Imagine Anita with all that her fine being relegated to the back as opposed to other pastors and i read from another website that the money Chris used to sustain his church during the early stages was money that Anita inherited from her father.May the world soon come to an end so that God can judge all of us.Oh God we have sinned . Choiiiii

    3. Quantity does not mean quality, you can write testaments of your views regarding pastor' s divorce but for as long as you are not god no matter how you connect your words together to make up a true story, that will never happen. A thousand times not! Being a pastor is a very spiritual life, where a pastor can give up his time with his family for the sake of God's people. Miracles happen because of his quality time he spends in the presence of god.pastor Chris'dream is to turn the whole world (unsaved) to Christ by spreading the true gospel to people. Whoever really cares for what is going on with pastor's life is the one who prays for him and his wife Rev. Anita, not those who are stating their views on why Rev. Anita has asked for divorce. Learn to put your noses where they belong. Nothing moves us, Christ Embassy is marching on!

    4. It's a shame that people like you don't read the bible and if you do, then you don't take counsel from the bible. Pastor Chris a an awesome preacher of the word and i agree with his position on most subjects. On this matter, he needs to accept that he is either being carnal (failing to take counsel from the word- whether logos or rhema). He should have taken after Apostle Paul and not marry at all. Once you are married as a Pastor, then your marriage is your second ministry which can't be relegated. Why should I entrust anything to a Man of God who couldn't get his marriage right.

  2. This divorce is not about power struggle or position. It is about the fact that our dear Pastor Chris has neglected and deserted his wife. He has no time for her and is not willing to share his life with her anymore. That is why Anita believes the marriage has broken irretrievably. As for the adultery allegations, only God & Pastor Chris know the truth & Rev. Anita would know. If the rumours of other women living in his house are true, would you blame anyone from concluding adultery ? Especially if the wife is not allowed to live in the house with her husband?? I'm just sayin'...

  7. It is important to realise that this whole situation is a direct satanic attack against the Church as a whole. It is equally important for the church to realise that this has happened because the Church has has failed to play her role in covering the servants of God, while we idolised them and went to them to fulfill our own needs. What the Church needs to understand is that even now we can exercise our authority of united prayer: "to declare that we have the authority to pull down the strongholds of adultery and unforgiveness, cast down all vain imaginations that do not glorify God, and take captive the thoughts of both pastors Chris and Anita, and declare that we render them obedient to Christ, We break all ungodly soul-ties,destroy and nullify all opportunities for ungodly relationships, declare and decree restoration of the fear of God, and invoke the spirit of reconciliation upon this visionary couple, in Jesus' Name." We should "nullify all divorce proceeding that do not glorify God, invoke the balm of Gilead to minister healing for all the pain caused, especially over pastor Anita." if we fail in this, and if the devil succeeds, there may be an irretrievable loss, because even the anointing remains on pst Chris, it will look like the divination and sorcery that has deceived poor Blessing in the other message. Pst Chris will look like someone who failed to humble himself before God and the Church, and Pst Anita will look like someone who failed to forgive 70 x 7 times. "Let the Church of God rise up in a prayer of agreement against this demonic onslaught, so that all things will work out together for the good of those that love the Lord; who are called according to His purposes." We can do this because God is able.

  9. I am really at a lost as to why Ps Chris and wife cant simply evoke the magic of FORGIVENESS-77 x 7 rule, FORBEARANCE and LOVE, of which subjects, I am sure, they have preached on on several occasions to their congregation, to rescue this marriage from collapse.Sometimes the issue of divorce may not just be about the two of you alone but also important are the countless number of people who look up to you as role models or for inspiration. This divorce, if it so happens, will break hearts and weaken the faith of many. For CHRIST SAKE, Ps Chris and Anita bury your differences, get back together and shame the devil. The cloud of witnesses (Heb 12) are watching the goings-on with keen interest. Please shame the devil. You have come too far to allow this misunderstanding to destroy all that you build together all these years. Is there anything too hard for GOD to do? For what reason at all would you deny your wife staying together with you under the same roof? Ps Anita s it possible to withdraw the suit to create some more space for dialogue? The children of God deserve more than this.

  11. As a matter of fact the Hierarchy goes in the following manner,Your Marriagea and family,Your Ministry ,Then the rest of society. That a woman was married to you for 13 years and had two children for you. Then she raised a ministry with you. You put her to shame by saying that she is influenced by bad friends as if she is a little kid who does not know any better. Pastor Anita has passed the stage in which friends would influence her behavior to throw away her marriage .She is not that immature . All I will say is that ,I will never allow my daughter to marry a Pastor. Then the day he messes up, instead of the truth being told my daughter gets accused of being a Satanic agent trying to destroy the church. Yes Islam has its problems of terrorism and radicalism but the churches own is far more dangerous .

  12. Hey Blessing,

Did you get paid to promote satanism, also called the occult, in this forum? Or how much money did you have to shell out to get this man to "cast spells" on your ex? I assumed you may be a Christian since you were supposed to be here commenting on the situation every other commentator was writing about. If you are a Christian, consider the following:

"God’s Word indicates that these practices are part of Satan’s strategy of evil tricks and deception, designed to lead us astray. Satan and his demons are real beings set on our destruction. Christians are warned to…

“put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:11-12).

    What is the occult?
"The word 'occult' is generally associated with secret knowledge and practices dealing with the supernatural or 'psychic' phenomena, often for the purpose of obtaining personal power. Some occult practices rely on demons or “spirits” to achieve their goals."

Concerning occult practices, the Israelites were told:

“When you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire [an ancient occult practice], or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination [detestable] to the LORD…”
—Deuteronomy 18:9-12a. Posted by an anonymous source.

How are you going to be sure he doesn't find out what you did to him? Beware, evil does not come back to you. Doing something so despicable to control another person is reproachable.

  13. Blessing, I assume you are a Christian and if you are, here's an article you should read and consider carefully: God condemns spiritualism ("spells casting").

"Today, many people dabble in the mystical, occultic arts. Is there anything wrong with being involved in these practices? Yes, the Bible takes a clear position on this subject, strongly denouncing these practices."
God’s Word indicates that these practices are part of Satan’s strategy of evil tricks and deception, designed to lead us astray. Satan and his demons are real beings set on our destruction. Christians are warned to…

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. How are you going to be sure he doesn't find out what you did to him to get your way? You can't get someone to truly love you by forcing him. Beware, evil does not come back to you 1000 fold. Doing something so despicable to control another person is reproachable and it's not of God.
