News: 13-Year-Old Girl, Teenage Suicide Bomber Confesses “Boko Haram Told Me I’ll Enter Paradise If I Blow Up Myself”

It was a bad day for suicide bombers yesterday as they were arrested in Kano and Gombe states. In Kano, a 13-year-old female suicide bomber, Zarahau Babangida, revealed how her parents initiated her into terrorism.
The female bomber in Kano, who was paraded by security operatives at the Bompai Police headquarters, gave an account of how insurgents executed the December 10, 2014, twin bomb explosions at Kanti Kwari Market. The blasts killed at least six persons and injured several others.
The suspect revealed that she was taken to the bush by her parents, where she met terrorists that recruited her, adding that it was from there that she, alongside the rest of the female bombers, were taken to Kano State on December 10 for the terror attack.
Frail-looking Zarahau recalled that she was delivered to the insurgents in the bush by her parents, but could not exactly say the location of the meeting point.
Describing the insurgents she encountered in the bush, she revealed: “Some of them were white and some of them were black, but they were all armed.
“They took us to the bush, near a thatched house. They called the three of us and some other women. Each of us was called out separately and asked if we would sacrifice our lives (Istishadiya). But I asked them this: ‘What is Istishadiya?’ They responded that it was suicide bombing. I said ‘no’ to their request. They promised me that if I commit suicide, I will enter paradise.”
She said:“When I refused, they threatened to kill me and thrown me into a ditch where they keep sinners. They have already surrounded the bush to prevent the women from escaping. “Because they said that they would kill me, I granted their request.”
Zaharau revealed that she accepted to commit suicide so as to be allowed out of the bush alive, noting that following her acceptance, she and the other two suicide bombers were conveyed to Kano and on a tricycle, for the suicide mission in the market.
“When we dropped at the market, one of the girls announced that we would enter the place, settling in different locations, urging the rest of us to detonate our bombs once the first one had gone off. Then the first girl entered with her own bomb into the market and as we went, the second girl asked me to detonate mine, but I refused. After that, she detonated her own bomb and the explosion hit me and injured me on the leg,”she said.
Zaharau noted that she slipped out of the market in the confusion and went to the main road from where she boarded a tricycle and headed to Dawanau, on the outskirts of Kano, where she had lived.
“At Dawanau, some of our neighbours came and I sought help. I asked to be taken to the hospital, but the women there said that their husbands were not at home. It was one of the elders in the area that finally took me to the hospital.
“At the hospital, the medical personnel started dressing my wounds. They had sewn the injury. Then later the driver of the tricycle who took me to Dawanau surfaced and reported that he saw something inside his tricycle that I had forgotten. Although I tried to deny initially, they later called the soldiers on phone, who came and took me away,”Zaharau said.
Also, speaking at a joint press conference organised by the police and the Directorate of State Security (DSS), the state Police Commissioner, Alhaji Aderenle Shinaba, said the suspect was conveyed to perpetrate the act in the state from a hideout in Bauchi State.
He noted that the suspect claimed to be an indigene of Bauchi State, even as he added that one of the accomplices to the crime had been arrested and detained.
He said:“This girl was arrested in one of the hospitals she ran to in her quest to obtain medical attention,, because as a result of the blast in the market place, she was injured in one of her legs, which made her to run to the hospital, where we were able to apprehend her.”
Asked if the girl was one of the Chibok girls, the commissioner said:“I will leave the judgment to the members of the public, as to whether she was one of the Chibok girls or not. In the first place, she is aged 13 years. In the second place, she can’t speak English and from what we heard of the Chibok girls, they were about to write their WAEC. So, the deduction is yours.”
Aderenle said Zaharau’s fate would be decided by the court.
Photo: Armed Robbers Terrorising Lagos Residents With Toy Guns Arrested

Notorious robbery gang terrorising residents of Lagos state have been arrested by officials of Lagos Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
During their confession, the suspects identified as Okeke Christian, Paul Igwe and Akazue Nwakonuche claimed they only use toy guns to scare off motorists and passengers before robbing them.
They were arrested in Ikotun area of Lagos on December 11 while they were getting ready for an operation around 9:30pm.
Read the suspects confession below:
“I came to Lagos in 2010 to stay with an uncle in Ikotun. That was where I met the gang. Later, my uncle travelled to India and left a small shop for me. It was Paul (Igwe) who brought the idea of robbing tricycle drivers and passengers to the gang. He also brought Nwankpa to join us.
“Our mode of operation is to use toy guns to rob motorists and passengers. All of us had toy guns and cutlasses. But on that Thursday, we went to the Ikotun Roundabout and entered a tricycle with the purpose of robbing it. At a point, we pointed our guns to the driver, and he melted.
“But when he suspected we had toy guns, he gave out a shout, and some vigilance members got after us immediately. They gave us a chase, pursuing us into the hands of the police.” – said Okeke Christian
“My role during the operation is to search the commercial bus, tricycle and abandoned bags for money, handsets and other valuables. Before I joined the gang, I used to sell ladies’ wares in Ikotun. It was Paul (Igwe) who brought me into the gang. Now, I regret taking that decision.”- said Akazue
“My alias is wiper. I am the gang leader. I brought the idea of robbing motorists, passengers and snatching tricycles. I met my gang members at our hemp smoking joint. One man named Roughman is the receiver of our snatched tricycles. He bought each from for us at N50,000.” – said the gang leader, Paul Igwe
Oh!See how Gov. Fayose line up Police Officers bcos of rice & chicken(pics)

This stomach infrastructure issue is attaining a ridiculous height but sadly, there is too much hunger in the land and nobody is ready to say the truth. Why on earth will a governor line up police officers for such a ridiculous parade? Why not even give it to their boss to share for his men? In fact, it is an offence, from what I know in Police Act, for a policeman to collect gifts from a civilian openly.
These police officers won't be able act reasonable again with this "gift". See more photos:

Okada Rider Knocks Out Pregnant Woman for Grabbing his P*enis

A pregnant woman was rushed to a hospital after being beaten unconscious by a taxi driver last weekend along Lagos-Badagry expressway, near Oluti bus stop in Lagos State. She was said to have paid the unknown rider a stipulated amount of money to convey her from Iyana Iba to First Gate bus stop, Maza Maza.
According to LeadershipNG, an eyewitness who identified herself simply as Mama Bola, said the pregnant woman, Feyisara, when she regained consciousness in a private hospital, said the agreement was for the rider to move her to First Gate only for him to stop near Oluti, screaming at her to get off
from the motorcycle.
The source said Feyisara disclosed that an argument ensued and the rider wanted to move the bike but she held his clothes tight, preventing him from escaping. According to the woman:
“The pregnant woman, Feyisara said she had paid the okada rider the agreed amount only for him to lie that Alakija was the destination she told him. So, when they reached Alakija, he ordered the woman to get off but she refused insisting that she would get off at her destination.
So, when the desperate rider wanted to escape and the woman stopped him, he attempted to remove her hands from his clothes but to no avail. The man parked the machine and forcefully removed her hands. The woman said she had no choice than to go after his private part. An action which probably angered the man as he punched her in the neck and the woman fell on a stone and was rolling on the ground when sympathisers saw her and took her to a private hospital. She was bleeding”.Mama added that the rider had zoomed off to an unknown destination. Police launched an investigation into the incident, but so far, no arrests have been mad

News: Spend the N21.27 Billion donated to you to improve electricity supply - Buhari's campaign group tells Jonathan

The Buhari 2015 Support Group Centre on Sunday flayed the over N21.27bn donated to President Goodluck Jonathan by businessmen, multinationals and the Peoples Democratic Party governors to finance his 2015 presidential election campaign.
The oil and gas sector, doled out N5bn; road and construction, N560m; power, N500m and Chief Tunde Ayeni and his associates, gave out N2bn at the vent which took place at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Saturday.
The group, in a statement on Sunday by its Director of Publicity, Dr. Chidia Maduekwe, advised the Jonathan administration to channel the money into the nation’s electricity sector.
The group is the campaign outfit of the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Maj.Gen. Muhammadu Buhari. But the APC will this week inaugurate a larger campaign group, which will be headed by the Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi.
The group said it was disgraceful for the President and his party to still be talking about improving the nation’s power sector after spending over $20bn on it.
It said, “Nigerians are worse off in terms of electricity supply than they were 15 years ago.” It added that no nation had ever moved from developing to being developed by relying on generators to power its economy.
The BSGC stressed that it was most frightening when one juxtaposes the United Nations population projection of Nigeria by year 2030 (i.e 15years from today) at about 253 million and 400 million by 2050.
“The PDP-led government will only lead Nigeria into a demographic disaster with its current failed energy policy,”
It explained that Buhari and indeed, other Nigerians were right to ask ‘‘why we are still in this epileptic electricity mess after spending well over $20bn on the power sector?’’
The group said Nigerians should be ashamed that when compared to South Africa’s 40, 000MW for a population of just 50 million, their country is still struggling to generate 4,000 MW.
It also pointed out that on per capita consumption basis, Nigeria is ranked at 178th with consumption of 106.21KWh per person, a figure that is well behind Gabon’s 283.6KWh; Cameroun’s 176.0KWh and Kenya’s 128.68KWh.
The BSGC added, “The power sector featured proudly two days ago in contributing towards Mr. President Jonathan’s re-election campaign fund.
“We would have thought such funds should have been better deployed in giving Nigerians better power supply.
“When four years ago Dr. Goodluck Jonathan said he would not run in 2015, he had then promised that ‘if voted into power within the next four years, the issue of power will become a thing of the past. Four years is enough for anyone in power to make significant improvement and if I can’t improve on power within this period it then means I cannot do anything even if I am there for another four years.”
It claimed that “the ordinary Nigerian on the street knows that he or she is not better off today with electricity supply as against four years ago when Jonathan mounted the saddle.”
But the Presidency through the Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, said the group lacked integrity to condemn the donation.
Okupe, who spoke with one of our correspondents on the telephone added, “We knew before and everyday that the so-called Buhari group is not a serious organisation. It is made up of power-mongers with no clear objective programmes for the country.
“They have perfected the act of deception and glorified falsehood. That’s why they will say Buhari doesn’t have N1m in his account and he wants to go into a national campaign.
“He wants to get the money for campaign from corrupt politicians and people of questionable character.”
Okupe said what happened at the Presidential Villa on Saturday was normal and done everywhere in the world.
He said, “What we did is done everywhere in the world. What we did was in the open and it was in a transparent manner.
“We know for a fact that Buhari’s funds will come from dubious sources, including corrupt governors.”
On why the President would collect donations from governors, some of whom are still owing civil servants in their states , Okupe said it was a case of the pot calling the kettle black.
He said, “Buhari was sponsored for the APC primary by Governor Rotimi Amaechi, who unashamedly brought the treasury of the state to Lagos.
“Yet, he has not paid teachers in the state for about eight months. APC should stop this pretence and put their house in order. Nigerians are tired of their propaganda.”
On the call by the BSG that the N21bn donation be spent on the power sector, Okupe disagreed, saying that the nation did not lack money to prosecute its power programmes.
News: Pirated copies of Obasanjo’s book sell for N7,000

Pirated copies of former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s controversial autobiography titled ‘My Watch’ have flooded the streets of Lagos State, selling for as low as N7,000.
The development came after a Federal Capital Territory High Court judge, Justice Valentine Ashi, ordered that security agents, including the police and men of the Department of State Service, should confiscate all copies of the book.
Our correspondent learnt that Obasanjo’s original book which has three volumes, costs about N15, 000 while the pirated copy, which has two volumes, costs less than half the price and comes in a white cover as opposed to the original’s yellow and brown colour.
Our correspondent, who spoke to hawkers selling the book in the Maryland and Opebi areas of the state, was told that Obasanjo’s original book had become scarce.
One of the traders, who spoke to our correspondent on Opebi Road, said traders knew that the original would become scarce after a court ordered its seizure and so pirates seized the opportunity to make money.
He said, “My friend, you know this book is illegal now and we are even taking a huge risk selling it.
The controversy in the pages of the book and the controversy that it has continued to generate in society have made it a bestseller.
“I usually sell it between N11,000 and N7,000 depending on the negotiating power of the customer.”
When asked where he usually got the books from, he said, “You want to spoil my market? Of course I can’t tell you.”
Obasanjo’s book,
which centres on his life in the military, as a democratic president and after office, became a legal issue shortly before its publication when the Chairman, Organisation and Mobilisation Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party in the South-West, Buruji Kashamu, took the matter to court in an attempt to prevent Obasanjo from launching the book.
However, Obasanjo on December 9, 2014, went ahead to publish the book and the judge ordered that the books be confiscated.

News: We asked for weapons to fight B'Haram, we got death sentence ––Nigerian Soldier Cries

One of the 54 soldiers sentenced to death by a Nigerian Army court martial for mutiny and conspiracy to commit mutiny has taken to the social media to express his frustration with Nigeria.
The soldier, who bears the name Fahat Fahat, posted on his Facebook page on Friday that all the soldiers asked for were better weapons that will help them defeat Boko Haram rather than be killed.
The Nigerian soldier, who has now been condemned to death, posted in a chilling message that gives a firsthand insight into the likely state of mind of the soldiers:
“Hello ladies and gentlemen.I am soldier and I am sentence to death by the Nigeria army (sic) (be)cause we did not go to fight Boko Haram without equipment. We ask for weapon instead dem gave death sentence (sic).”
Fahat’s wall showed different pictures and posts of an excited soldier. In one post, he said, “I am a commando trooper, Jumper Canta Force Galopa Amphibios (sic). Above I am a gorilla, the king of the jungle. I am trained to kill the wicked. I am proud to be a killer. We do good things to good people and bad things to bad people. One man one bullet, sometimes, one man, one magazine.”
But the tone of his messages seemed to change from October 2014.
In a cryptic message on November 24, 2014, Fahal posted in caps, “I am sick and tayerd with dis f*rking alpha romeo mike yankee seriousely (sic)” Meaning: I am sick and tired of this f****** Army seriously.
Another soldier, Fredrick Ayonronmi, who is Fahat’s friend but not one of the convicted soldiers, also took to Facebook to express happiness after an operation.
“Lord, thank you for my life, because I am a survivor of Boko Haram attack in Vimtim Forest. After five days in the bush, Lord I praise you,” his post read.
But when will all the necessary weapons needed by our boys to defeat Boko Haram get to them?
