What?? Meet Jacqui Beck, The girl Without Vagina[photos]

Rare condition: Jacqui Beck
A girl was left in tears by doctors when
she was told at the age of 17 that she had
no vagina.
Jacqui Beck, 19, from the Isle of Wight
has a rare condition called MRKH which
means she has no womb, cervix or vaginal
opening but has a “dimple” which means
she looks normal from the outside.
She was diagnosed after telling a GP that
she had never had a period and
complained of back pain.
The condition affects one in 5,000 women
and means she has ovaries but could not
have sex or give birth in the future
without treatment.
Jacqui told the Mail: “I’d never
considered myself different from other
women and the news was so shocking, I
couldn’t believe what I was hearing.
“I left the doctors in tears – I would never
know what it was like to give birth, be
pregnant, have a period. All the things I
had imagined doing suddenly got erased
from my future.”
Her condition would have become
apparent earlier if she had tried to have
sex – which she hadn’t.
She’s no shrinking violet though and has a
budding career as a singer with several
fans around the world,
Jacqui thinks her condition may actually
help her find Mr Right, since she wouldn’t
want to go out with anyone who finds it a
problem.
She said: “I’m a hopeless romantic and I
see it as a great test of someone’s
character. Instead of focusing on it
putting off men, I actually think it will
help me find ‘the one’.”
MRKH (Mayer Rokitansky Küster Hauser)
is a congenital abnormality that is
characterised by the absence of the
vagina, womb and cervix.
Women suffering from the condition will
have normally functioning ovaries and so
will experience the normal signs of
puberty but will not have periods.
Jacqui has had treatment at the Queen
Charlotte and Chelsea Hospital in London,
which specialises in the condition where
she has been using a dilation device.
Her treatment has now worked which
means she will not need surgery to have
sex and says she has plenty of time to
weigh up her options about having
children..
She said she was not at an age where she
was thinking about children anyway but
could use a surrogate or adopt.
Initially she only told a few friends about
her condition but then realised she could
do more good by telling a lot more
people about it and raising awareness.
She received positive comments on her
Facebook telling her how “brave and
beautiful” she was.
Budding singer Jacqui has a popular
Youtube channel where the pretty
teenager sings hits like You Belong to Me,
King of the Road and Mama Knows Best.
On her page the humble songstress says:
“Hello my dear chums! Welcome to my
humble abode of a channel.
“Just sit back, relax and wonder ‘Has she
had a stroke at some point in her life?’ ‘
why does one side of her face droop
when she sings?’.
“The answer is no and I have no idea, its
just an added attribute to all things
Jacqui.”
