
Less than 24 hours to the release of the abducted Chibok girls, some suspected Boko Haram terrorists have unleashed terror on Ndongo village in Maffa LGA of Borno state.
On Saturday, the dreaded terrorists killed 17 people, abducted 30 youths and carted away 300 cows.
Hear what Maffa chairman, Alhaji Shettima Maina said about this latest attack:
“Seventeen people were killed by the attackers. We buried the remains of the victims in Mafa,’’ “about 30 youths have been abducted in the last couple of days. Once they (Boko Haram) invade a community, they abduct all boys, aged between 13 years and above and take them to their base. The insurgents also abduct girls, aged between 11 years and above,” he disclosed.
“We are appealing to the Federal Government to come to our aid, as the insurgents have invaded our communities, forcefully abducting both male and female youths in the area”.
A herdsmen in the area, Mallam Ashiekh Mustapha said the Boko Haram fighters took away 300 cows after killing their owners.
“They took away 300 herds of cows after the attack,’’he said.
Maffa is a remote village 42 km from Maiduguri, the capital city of Borno state.
