Last week, a blind item of a story went round the Naija
blogosphere that a popular Nollywood actress was set to
marry her colleague’s ex-husband. After a lot of go
arounds on the gossip vine, the names of the actresses
involved has been confirmed as Nkiru Sylvanus and Oge
Okoye.
Oge and Nkiru both started off in Enugu as actresses
before Oge allegedly met and started dating Stanley,he
was already dating Nkiru and both were in a relationship
that many thought was going to lead to a blissful
marriage.
Reportedly, Oge Okoye moved in with Amsterdam-based
Stanley Duru in 2006 while he was already dating Nkiru
Sylvanus in Nigeria.
After Oge got pregnant, Stanley Duru dumped Nkiru
while she was already planning their marriage and paid
the bride price for Oge Okoye just before they welcomed
their son in December 2006. The marriage was rocked
by a scandal but after reconciliation, Oge took in again
and delivered a baby girl in 2010.
Allegedly, the marriage hit a dead end over 2 years ago
when they couldn’t get past the scandal which
was supposedly about an extra-marital affair Oge Okoye
had with another man while married.
Some say it is because of the shady beginnings of her
relationship with Stanley Duru and the rocky nature of
their relationship that Oge Okoye never flaunted his
pictures or talked about him to the press.

Oge Okoye also did not reveal her marriage breakup to
the media, hoping they would reconcile as usual,
however, that never happened.
Instead, earlier this year, Stanley Duru got back together
with Nkiru Sylvanus and now the two are planning to get
married in the next few days, according to Stella
Dimorkorkus.
Nkiru Sylvanus is an actress and political appointee
under Rochas Okorochas’ administration, and has often
said that she wouldn’t mind being a second wife.
According to some reports, Nkiru and Stanley did their
traditional wedding this past Saturday in a private
setting, and their white wedding preparation is what
remains to be finalised.
Meanwhile, before Stanley Duru met Oge Okoye,
he dated a Dutch lady named Barbara who delivered a
baby girl named Uchechi Olivia for him. That makes him
a father of three.
It was to nurse her alleged heartbreak that Oge Okoye
took her children to Spain where her mother lives in
order to celebrate her son’s eight birthday.
