Nollywood Actress Says Her First Marriage Ended In Divorce Bcos Of Immaturity
Today, the beauty salon owned by Yoruba actress Iyabo Ojo clocked one. The mother of two who entered her first marriage at age 21 admitted that her immaturity crashed her fist marriage.
After the blunt confession, she was quick to say that she has since grown up to avoid the mistakes that led to the crash of her first marriage from reoccurring.
Read what Iyabo Ojo said today at her Fespris beauty spa in Lagos:
“It was not an easy decision but I had to take it because it was getting to a point that I was not finding fulfillment in the marriage, so I had to move on with my life. I never knew what marriage entailed when i embraced it at first and it was difficult for me to handle it very well.
“I went through a lot before falling in love again. I had to wait because I wanted to be sure it was the right move. My kids are growing up and I don’t want to tell them stories that touch the heart.
“My new man has been a blessing to us all. I am happy that I made the right decision. My career is on point and you can see what I have done in the last two years. Those things would not have been successful if my man didn’t stand by me”.
For a woman, age 21 is not too early for marriage. Age sometimes does not equal maturity.
