Former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Bola Tinubu, has said the people in Ekiti State have been marginalised under the President Goodluck Jonathan-led administration.
He said the statements creditted to the President during a recent campaign for the PDP governorship candidate in the state, Ayo Fayose, was an admission that the state had been marginalised under Jonathan’s administration.
Jonathan had said he had not been visiting the state in about four years because there were no projects to inaugurate under the APC government of Kayode Fayemi.
Tinubu, while addressing APC faithful at a rally for the party’s governorship candidate, Governor Kayode Fayemi, in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday, said the umbrella of the PDP had torn.
He described the state’s return to PDP administration as backwardness.
Tinubu said, “After their (PDP) 15-year rule, he (Jonathan) came again and told you that you’re going to see him (Jonathan) when he has not been coming to commision projects in the last years;, so he has come back to commision a federal project, which means you have been cheated.
“They have admitted (their) failure; that in the last 15 years, they’ve got nothing for you.
“He (Jonathan) said he’ll come only if PDP wins; he’ll be here to commision projects.”
