The Emir of Gwoza who was slain has been buried yesterday.
Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima was present at the event amidst tight
security. It was reported that over 150soldiers and few
police men escorted the Governor to attend the burial
ceremony.
It will be recalled that the Emir of Gwoza, Alhaji Shehu
Mustapha Idris Timta was killed on his way to the
burial of the Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Shehu Abubakar,
who died in a London hospital where he was
undergoing cancer treatment.
The late Emir of Gwoza was murdered around 10am by
Boko Haram men, and another Emir with him only
managed to escape. Sadly, no Emir was able to attend
his burial for the fear of being kidnapped or killed.
