Libya has been crowned 2014 Orange African Nations Champions (CHAN) after beating Ghana 4-3 on penalties today, Saturday 1st February at Cape Town Stadium. This will their first continental title, and they will bank $750,000 for becoming champions, while Ghana will receive $400,000 as runners-up for a 2nd time after losing in the 2009 CHAN final. Libya had also lost (7-6 on penalties) to Ghana 32 years ago in the AFCON final. Someone said 'Thank you Libya for silencing the boastful Ghanaians'. lol. Big congrats to them.
